After a three-year interruption due to COVID-19, the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce's State of the Cities event was held on May 5, giving the mayors of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills the chance to discuss accomplishments and priorities for the coming year. As in years past, El Camino Health was a sponsor.
Mayor Sally Meadows of Los Altos and Mayor Linda Swan of Los Altos Hills presented to about 180 attendees, including Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, Assemblymember Marc Berman and County Supervisor Joe Simitian, as well as other local elected officials, school board members, business executives, nonprofit executives and city staff.
El Camino Health chief executive officer, Dan Woods, introduced Congresswoman Eshoo and gave a brief update on El Camino Health's accomplishments and plans — including the $150 million investment into women's health on the Mountain View campus and our recognition as a Top 100 hospital and the highest-rated nonacademic medical center in the Bay Area by Newsweek in 2023.
