Dr. Habib has practiced medicine for nearly 10 years. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Dr. Habib completed medical school in Pakistan and moved to the United States in 1998. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Weiss Memorial Hospital at the University of Chicago.
He also completed a year of chief residency at the University of Illinois, followed by fellowship training in Geriatrics at the Mayo Clinic. Since completing his training in 2003, he has practiced Hospital Medicine, taking care of hospitalized patients, 18 years and above, with a predominance of geriatric patients. Dr. Habib began his career working at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
He then pursued an academic career at the University of Wisconsin Hospital as an academic hospitalist before moving to the Bay Area. In Wisconsin, Dr. Habib provided free medical care to homeless patients. Previously, he worked on systems improvement at the University of Wisconsin and at Kaiser to make Electronic Health Records easier to use.
