Document Imaging Specialist – Mountain View

Silicon Valley Medical Development is recruiting a full-time Document Imaging Specialist. This position will travel to all of our clinics throughout Mountain View and San Jose.

The SVMD Document Imaging Specialist is responsible for document preparation, scanning, indexing and abstraction of paper documents to accurately file in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

The Document Imaging Specialist resolves issues with documents such as missing Medical Record Numbers, account (CSN) numbers, missing pages; corrects document pages as needed, and performs quality assurance of scanned records.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum 2 years of experience in medical record processing in a Health Information Management department
  • Completion in an accredited health information technology program
  • Experience working with an EMR
  • Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Strong verbal and written communications, and active listening skills
  • Solid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient manner
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflow
  • Ability to effectively work as a team member who is flexible, cooperative and willing to assist others
  • Valid California driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and EMR systems
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to privacy and security of confidential patient information and the requirements for release of patient information
  • Knowledge of California Health Code pertaining to medical record
  • Intermediate MS Office skills preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Practice Manager – Mountain View

Silicon Valley Medical Development is recruiting a full-time Practice Manager for our El Camino Health Specialty Care and Primary Care outpatient clinics located in Mountain View, CA.

The Practice Manager is responsible for managing all clinic operations, and directly managing clinical and support staff to include Medical Assistants and Patient Services, Representatives. He/she will collaborate and work closely with physicians to ensure efficient clinic operations and delivery of an exceptional patient experience.

The Practice Manager is also responsible for implementing and managing organizational goals to include financial and patient satisfaction goals, employee and physician/provider engagement, and developing related action plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in a health-related field is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an ambulatory care or outpatient leadership role and demonstrated management skills
  • EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Additionally, the MA will update the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) with patient information, answer telephone calls and schedule appointments.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant from the following is preferred:
    1. AAMA – American Association of Medical Assistants
    2. CCBMA – California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants
    3. AMT – American Medical Technologists Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Current CPR certification

Referral Coordinator - Mountain View

Silicon Valley Medical Development is recruiting a full-time Referral Coordinator for El Camino Health Specialty Care, an outpatient neurology and ortho/spine clinic located in Mountain View.

The Referral Coordinator will work as an educator, healthcare resource, and patient advocate to ensure patient care is coordinated and managed appropriately. He/she will refer patients to external physicians/specialists, serve as a liaison to the physician and coordinate care across the healthcare continuum.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare (acute care or ambulatory care organization) prefer experience in utilization management, case management or care coordination
  • Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Able to effectively communicate with patients to ensure follow-through with referrals via phone communications

Patient Services Representative – San Jose

Silicon Valley Medical Development is recruiting a full-time Patient Services Representative for El Camino Health Primary Care, an outpatient clinic located in San Jose, CA. The Patient Services Representative (PSR) performs a variety of functions such as answering telephone calls and relaying messages in the clinic's call center; verifying patients' demographics and insurance information, and receiving and posting patient payments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patient Services Representative or in a customer service/guest relations role
  • Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Strong verbal/written communication and active listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone communications skills
  • Legible handwriting
  • Basic computer skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and data entry skills to enter information accurately into the Epic electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Epic EMR experience
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred
