FEBRUARY 6, 2015Wear Red to Work Day

National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 6, 2015, and the 12th anniversary of the movement. Heart disease and stroke kills 1 in 3 women every year. "Go Red for Women" is an American Heart Association campaign to dispel myths and raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women.

Cardiovascular Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean Diet has many benefits to your health, specifically your heart health. Dr. Neal Scott, cardiologist at El Camino Hospital, will be speaking about cardiovascular health and prevention education for disease, including the heart health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet. Along with El Camino Hospital Executive Chef Jacques Wilson, the two will also host a Mediterranean cooking demonstration with tastings.
