November is National COPD Awareness month. COPD is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States*. COPD is the name for a group of progressive lung diseases, including chronic bronchitis, asthma and emphysema, that make it difficult to breathe.
In collaboration with Breathe California, the California Partnership for Access to Treatment (CPAT) and the El Camino Hospital Cardiac and Pulmonary Wellness Center together presents a COPD education opportunity for patients, families and health care providers. The event will include:
- Free education seminar about the latest research on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Complimentary spirometry tests
Seating is limited but the event is free. Lunch will be provided. Register online
