The El Camino Hospital Board of Directors represents the diverse communities that we serve. Our Board includes influential community members, healthcare experts and five members of our local healthcare district board.
Our Board selects officers, tracks compliance issues, makes policy decisions and monitors the management of the organization to make sure policy decisions are carried out in a way that aligns with our mission.
The Board of Director's most significant role is the financial health and accountability of El Camino Health, making sure it is positioned well in the healthcare market — no small feat in a very challenging, complex industry.

The agenda for each regular meeting of the Board of Directors includes an item for public communication. During this time, people in the audience have an opportunity to make a brief statement to the Board (not to exceed three minutes) on issues or concerns within the jurisdiction of the Board but not otherwise covered by the agenda.
