El Camino Hospital's birthing facilities in Mountain View and Los Gatos are welcoming and comfortable environments in which to have your baby. With more than 4,000 births a year, our hospitals have provided a safe and joyous beginning for the many families in our area.

El Camino Hospital Mountain View

Our Mountain View location offers the following maternal services:

  • Anesthesiologists available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Neonatologists available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • A Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit  (NICU), equipped with the latest in medical technology to treat premature and critically ill newborns

  • Prenatal Diagnostic Center for mothers with special pregnancy needs (in conjunction with the Johnson Center for Pregnancy & Newborns at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital)

  • Lactation consultants certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE)

  • Maternal Child Education department in Mountain View, which offers expecting parents birth preparation classes, parenting classes and support groups



And our many amenities include:
  • On-line portraits with First Day Photo 
  • Private birthing suites
  • Foldout beds for birth partners
  • Bassinets
  • Natural light and garden courtyard views

Our Los Gatos location offers the following maternal services:

HBV Brochure
One in 10 Asians and Pacific Islanders is living with chronic, life-long hepatitis B (HBV), and most don’t even know that they’re infected. These brochures, which were developed by the Asian Liver Center at Stanford University, will tell you more about HBV, including how to protect yourself and your baby with the HBV "anti-cancer" vaccine.
