John Feng, M.D.
Dr. Feng received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where he subsequently completed his internship and residency. He did a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Feng specializes in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive bariatric surgery including (1) placement of an adjustable gastric band, or LAP-BAND (R) System, (2) vertical sleeve gastroplasty/gastrectomy, (3) Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and (4) duodenal switch, or biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch.
He is an American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Society Center of Excellence surgeon and Board Certified general surgeon.

Pamela Foster, M.D.
Dr. Foster received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical Center. Her surgical residency was completed at Virginia Mason Medical Center in General, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery, where she also served as Chief Resident. She is a member of several professional associations, including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Association of Women Surgeons. Dr. Foster received specialty training in Lap-Band and laparoscopic procedures. She performs Laparoscopic and Open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, Laparoscopic gastric band surgery and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy.

Prithvi Legha, M.D.
Dr. Legha received his undergraduate and medical education from Oxford University, England. His completed his residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Legha completed his fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. His interests include minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery. Dr. Legha performs Laparoscopic and Open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery.

John Rabkin, M.D.
Dr. Rabkin received his medical degree from Boston University. He completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), following with a two-year transplantation fellowship at both UCSF and the University of Minnesota.
In his practice, Dr. Rabkin has focused on bariatric and laparoscopic surgery along with liver transplation and complex hepatobiliary surgery. He is also involved in research and serves on the editorial boards of several medical journals. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgery and certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Barry Sanchez, M.D.
Dr. Sanchez received his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital followed by fellowships in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Sanchez is the member of several professional associations, including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society for American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Sanchez is a trained and certified operator of the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System and an Award Trauma Life Support Instructor. Dr. Sanchez performs Laparoscopic and Open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, Laparoscopic gastric band surgery and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy.

Albert Wetter, M.D., M.B.B.S.
Dr. Wetter received his medical education at St. Bartholomew's Medical School in London, England. He completed his residency at London University Affiliated Hospitals and the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Wetter served as Chief Resident at Colchester General Hospital, England and at St. Mark’s Hospital, England. He completed a fellowship in Hepatobiliary Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He received specialty training in endoscopic, vascular and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Wetter performs Laparoscopic and Open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, Laparoscopic gastric band surgery and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy.

Marc M. Zare, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Zaré specializes in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery of gastrointestinal tract with a special interest in Bariatric Surgery for severe obesity. He completed his General Surgery training at Georgetown University, Washington, DC in 2002. He received additional sub-specialty training in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Boston University and the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Boston VA for nearly four years before moving to California in 2008. Dr. Zaré is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of many surgical societies. During his training he received many awards including “Outstanding Resident in Laparoscopy” by Georgetown University. He is the lead author in several peer-reviewed publications on topics including Surgery for Severe Obesity, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Surgical Education, and Surgical Outcomes, and has written three book chapters. Dr. Zaré grew up in Iran and received his graduate medical education from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, before moving to the US in 1996.
