Last Updated Tuesday, September 14, 2010 3:16:53 PM

El Camino Hospital's comprehensive surgical services have received national recognition for performance, quality and teamwork. Our highly trained and professional teams of physicians, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, technologists, therapists, registration and financial administrators, and our auxiliary volunteers all work together to ensure you and your family receive the highest-quality care at both our Mountain View and Los Gatos locations.

The Latest Innovations

El Camino Hospital was the first Northern California hospital to offer the daVinci S HD Surgical System. The system provides surgeons with an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy, putting a surgeon's hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform. Robotic surgery is available at both of our locations in Mountain View and Los Gatos.

El Camino Hospital also offers the cutting-edge technology of the CyberKnife as part of its new Center for Advanced Radiotherapy and CyberKnife Radiosurgery. The CyberKnife is a radiation therapy device that is able to pinpoint solid tumors anywhere in the body with sub-millimeter accuracy using image-guidance technology.

Pre-Admission Program

Our surgery pre-admission program is designed to assist people who are scheduled for surgery or a medical procedure. The program provides an opportunity for to learn about hospital procedures and ask a registered nurse questions about your hospital stay before you are admitted to the hospital.

The program includes admission information, a review by a financial counselor of your insurance coverage, a review and order of all pre-operative testing by your doctor, as well as a pre-admission packet of information and forms. An assessment of your discharge needs will also be completed.

A hospital representative will call to schedule you for this program. If you would like to attend this program and have not already been contacted, please call 650-940-7180 to schedule an appointment.
