Senior Services

Last Updated Wednesday, May 26, 2010 2:49:36 PM

Senior services at El Camino HospitalAt El Camino Hospital, we provide senior services that optimize the physical and mental health of older adults, their families, adult children, friends and caregivers in our community. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for all community members. You don't have to have been a patient of El Camino Hospital to take advantage of these community resources.

Our family/eldercare consultants are here to help you and your family members deal with the many challenges of aging, whether they are physical, mental, emotional or social. We listen to your questions and concerns, and then, together, we develop an action plan, drawing upon a broad array of information and referral resources, community services and educational programs, regardless of where you or your family members live.

If you are an older adult, perhaps you wonder, what will happen when you are in the hospital, and what do you do after you go home? If you are the child of an older person with health issues and who needs treatment, you might ask, what if mom needs more care after her surgery? And anyone might have questions about things like advance healthcare directives. We're here to help you with these questions and many more.

Senior Services In The Hospital

El Camino Hospital provides many services to help older adults in their homes to facilitate their well-being and safety, including in-home care and caregiver support. Perhaps you worry about being forgetful and wonder if it’s serious or whether you’ll be able to stay in your home if you need some additional help. Read more about these services.

    Senior Services In The Home

Should I move in with the kids or live in a retirement community? I want to keep my mind active--how can I do that? Can someone give me advice on healthy eating and cooking? In this section, you can find answers to these questions and more.
