Ongoing Support After Bariatric Surgery

Ongoing support after bariatric surgery is key to the procedure’s long-term success. It’s essential that you maintain your commitment to eating right, exercising and following post-surgical instructions.

We offer many services to help you manage the physical and psychological changes that occur after bariatric surgery.

• Our regular, free support groups are an opportunity for patients to share their experiences and encourage each other to stay on track. We also provide continuing education on nutrition, lifestyle, psychological issues, and long-term follow-up using curriculum by Bariatric Support Centers International.

• In addition, many of our bariatric surgeons hold their own patient support groups.

• Our doctors provide individualized follow-up care that can include a personalized exercise program, nutrition education and, where appropriate, physical therapy, counseling and/or psychological services.

• We have special seminars with guest speakers to talk about related issues i.e.: plastic surgeons – body recontouring after weight loss, psychologists – relationship changes, bariatric surgeons – getting back on track

We are also available by phone to answer any questions, and offer ongoing support long after your bariatric surgery.
