ANCC Awarded El Camino Hospital Magnet Designation
The ANCC awarded El Camino Hospital Magnet designation after a vigorous, multi-faceted evaluation that included an extensive on-site visit. The Magnet Recognition Program was developed by the ANCC to recognize health care organizations that provide the very best in nursing care. To maintain their Magnet designation, organizations must reapply for Magnet status every four years. Independent research has shown that Magnet-designated facilities consistently outperform non-Magnet organizations by delivering better patient outcomes and increased patient satisfaction. Magnet hospitals enjoy increased nurse retention and recruitment rates and higher job satisfaction.
Additional information about the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Magnet Recognition Program is available online at the ANCC Web site.
