    Accepted Forms of Payment

    • Major credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa)
    • Personal check
    • Debit card payment through a checking or savings account

Transactions are securely processed by a second party, Simplee, and are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards. The payment will appear as Simplee.com on your debit or credit card statement.

    Insurance

If you have questions about what is and is not covered under your health care policy, please consult your health care policy provider. If you have insurance, the Patient Financial Services office will bill your insurance carrier you provided at the time of registration. Though we try to assist our patients with coverage questions, it is your responsibility to know what is covered under your policy. Once your primary insurer processes your claim, we will file any secondary insurance provided to us.

    Patient Balances

If a balance remains after all insurance carriers have processed your claim(s), you will receive a billing statement. You may also receive a billing statement from us if your insurance does not pay your claim. Patient balances are due upon receipt of your billing statement. Delinquent accounts may be referred to outside collection agencies if payment in full or a mutually agreed upon payment arrangement is not obtained in a timely manner. El Camino Hospital encourages you to contact our Patient Financial Services department if you cannot pay the balance due. Customer service representatives and financial counselors are available to discuss payment options with you and help you find the plan that best fits your budget.

Please note that you may receive separate bills from the following:

    • Your personal physician or other physicians providing you with special services.
