The Cardiovascular Pulmonary Wellness Center provides rehabilitation care for people with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. Through supervised exercise and education we offer the support you need to improve your health and well-being.

Our rehabilitation team consists of registered nurses, respiratory therapists, exercise physiologists, and other multi-disciplinary health care professionals. Your primary care physician, cardiologist, pulmonologist and our medical directors work with our staff to coordinate your care.

The Cardiovascular Pulmonary Wellness Center at El Camino Hospital has been awarded Program Certification for both the Cardiac Rehabilitation program and the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Certification recognizes those programs rigorously reviewed by a national board and found to meet the outlined essential requirements for standards of care. To learn more about this designation visit www.aacvpr.org.

The Center also offers Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP®) for the treatment of angina.

Free valet parking for hospital patients and visitors.  
El Camino Hospital offers patients and visitors free valet parking at the old main hospital entrance. Patients and visitors coming to the old main hospital building should enter from South Drive and drive up to the circular driveway. From the valet service drop off, the entrance to the Center is located up the walkway, on the right, just before the double door entrance to the old main hospital.

Dana, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patient: Her Story

Dana has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a common lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. One of the things that helps Dana manage her disease is a new program offered at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA, called "harmonica therapy." By playing the harmonica, she is able to increase her oxygen level, so that she can breathe easier. Here is her story.
