For Help Understanding How Genetics May Affect You

Image of Lily Servais of GMIGenetic Counseling
Our genetic counselors can help you learn more about genetic conditions and how they might affect you and your family. Your physician can refer you to genetic counseling. He or she will fax a referral form to our office (fax: 650-962-4509), after which we will call you to set up a convenient time to meet.

GMI-trained Physicians
One of the institute’s primary goals is to provide the medical staff at El Camino Hospital with information and resources and training about genetics and genetic testing. Each year, we train physicians in genetics, so that they may pass their learning onto their patients. You can select a GMI-trained physician from our list of GMI-trained physicians.

Please call our office at 650-962-4577 if you have any additional questions regarding genetics.
