Summary

The goal of this study is to identify symptoms (i.e. fatigue, nausea, pain) that tend to group together in patients receiving chemotherapy and to learn whether this symptom experience differs across cancer diagnoses. Importantly, one of our goals is to identify inherited (that is, genetic) factors that may increase patients’ tendency to experience more or less severe symptoms.

Basic Eligibility Criteria

• Be 18 years of age or older;
• Have a diagnosis of breast, colon, gynecologic, or lung cancer;
• Be able to read, write, and understand English;
• Be receiving chemotherapy;
• Have received chemotherapy within the past 4 weeks;
• Be scheduled for two additional cycles of chemotherapy on the day of enrollment into the study;
• Is willing to give a blood sample for the genomic analysis.
• Agree to participate and give informed consent;
