This volunteer provides friendly transportation service for patients and visitors to/from/near/within the hospital campus in Mountain View.

Key Qualifications

• Mature, caring, dependable and people-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license.
• Must be able to work unsupervised, multi-task, and relate tactfully to patients, their family and/or friends.

Job Description
Roadrunners: Your responsibility is to provide patients and visitors with transportation service, driving one of a fleet of hospital-owned vehicles within the communities around the Mountain View campus of El Camino Hospital. You will assist community members with appointments as well as errands. You will also service “Lifelines” communication units in clients’ homes, and assist clients in the use of those units.

Shuttle Service: Your responsibility is to provide on-site transportation service for patients and visitors on the Mountain View campus of El Camino Hospital. For this purpose you will drive a golf-cart vehicle between parking lots and the hospital main entrance as well as among the various buildings that provide a variety of services on the hospital campus.
