Hospital Greeter (MV): Your main responsibility is to welcome patients and family/visitors as they enter the main hospital and help them find a particular service or unit. The main-floor Greeter stands next to the Information Desk near the front doors and provides directions and/or maps as needed, directing people to the public elevators to reach floors with specific services. Additional Greeters on the 3rd and 4th floors are located near the public elevators to direct people to waiting rooms or the nurse’s stations on those floors, working with the Waiting Room Liaison.
Information Desk Volunteer (Mountain View) or Information Desk/Greeter (LG): This person acts as a receptionist near the main entrance to the hospital. You will provide appropriate information in person or over the phone to patients and family/visitors, accessing as needed the desktop computer that has current information on the location of patients in the hospital. You would also handle incoming/outgoing mail for patients. At El Camino Hospital Los Gatos, you would also greet entering patients, family and visitors and direct them to a particular hospital unit.
