A crowd of friends, family members and staff at El Camino Hospital's Cancer Center gathered last week to kick off the Symphony of Color Art Show. The exhibition - on display in the hospital’s Piano Lobby through February - is a collection of paintings created by El Camino Hospital cancer patients, all students of art therapist Tehila Eisenstat, who has offered her Creative Expressions painting class for the past 12 years on the hospital campus.
Eisenstat told the Town Crier that her class aims to provide students a temporary escape from the harsh realities of their disease. Along the way, she noted, her students gain a sense of camaraderie and a way to express themselves through art.
