Make an Investment with Healthy Returns: The New Campaign for El Camino Hospital

Last Updated 4/15/2013 8:29:55 AM

Conceived, developed, and funded by its local constituency, El Camino Hospital has relied on community support from the very beginning. And for nearly 30 years, El Camino Hospital Foundation has turned to you, our friends and neighbors, for the additional philanthropic sustenance that enables the hospital to provide an extraordinary level of care, beyond what fees and reimbursements alone would allow us to afford. Time and again you have responded with loyalty and generosity.

That need is even greater today. In fact, there is widespread agreement that, in the future, the best health care will be available only to communities that provide significant charitable support for their local hospitals. So today, we are once again offering you an opportunity to make an investment with healthy returns.

The goal of the new campaign is to underwrite the further development of centers of excellence and programs of distinction across the enterprise on El Camino Hospital’s campuses in Mountain View and Los Gatos:

Behavioral Health Services

  • Support ASPIRE, an intensive outpatient therapy program designed to prevent teen suicide and help teens in acute distress develop resilience and coping skills

  • Support OATS, an outpatient therapy program for seniors suffering from depression and anxiety who are not responding to traditional treatments

  • Support MOMS, the only intensive outpatient program on the West Coast specifically designed to help the 25% of new mothers who experience postpartum anxiety, depression, or psychosis

  • Enable El Camino Hospital’s Behavioral Health Services to continue developing pioneering programs that respond to observed, unmet mental health needs in the community
