Benefits of Working at El Camino Hospital

At El Camino Hospital, our mission is to be an innovative, publicly accountable and locally controlled comprehensive healthcare organization that cares for the sick, relieves suffering, and provides quality, cost-competitive services to improve the health and well-being of our community. By bringing the most talented people to work with us, we know we can accomplish this goal.

For nearly 50 years, El Camino Hospital has maintained its preferred workplace status by blending cutting-edge technology with high quality patient care. As an independent, locally governed, not-for-profit hospital, El Camino answers only to the needs of the community. Our pride comes from allowing our employees to fulfill their personal call to care with each patient they serve.

In April 2009, we acquired, renovated and re-opened the Los Gatos campus, and in November 2009, we opened our seismically safe Mountain View facility. Our organization has a long history of contributing to the South Bay community; we will continue to enhance our contributions to the community in the years to come. El Camino Hospital is more than just a single hospital with two campuses, but the creation of a visionary healthcare destination that provides coordinated and easy access to the latest medical treatments. So if you are looking for career growth at a place that continues to flourish, El Camino Hospital is the right choice.

If you would like to gain a general exposure to a hospital environment you may want to consider becoming a volunteer. Please visit our Volunteer section for information about volunteering at El Camino Hospital.

Adult Auxiliary volunteers (high school graduates, 18 years or older only) need to complete an application, have a personal interview with an Auxiliary Placement Counselor, and then pass a background check and a health check, both provided by the hospital at no charge to the applicant. Adult membership requires an annual $20 fee and a commitment of 12 hours per month, for a minimum of six months. Most Auxiliary volunteers also wear a uniform, part of which may be purchased in the Auxiliary office.
